Self-esteem is a person’s overall impression of their self worth, and how much they like and approve of themselves. How a person rates their actions, beliefs, and appearance can play a significant role for achieving future accomplishments. Feeling confident and self-assured makes it easier to navigate life with an upbeat approach and to reach set goals. Someone who has very little self-worth, believe they are inferior to others, and lack the talent to achieve success. Often, it results in being unable to accomplish one’s full potential. This can lead to depression, permitting abusive treatment from family and romantic relationships, and other negative life experiences.
